Empowerment program for young people

Social enterprise foundation X, located in Nieuw West. Social enterprise X is a spin-o^ of a large cleaning company owned by a socially committed entrepreneur who mentors vulnerable youth from the neighborhood. These are young people who are somehow sidelined: school dropouts, youth without qualifications or skills to find a job, dropouts with problems and debts. X organizes programs to get these young people back on track and take the first step towards employment. X collaborates with schools and institutions such as the social services, youth work, and other social organizations. X is a recognized social enterprise, which means it is based in Amsterdam and that at least 30% of its staff consists of people with a disadvantage in the labor market. The municipality of Amsterdam encourages companies with a social return obligation to purchase from these firms or otherwise contribute. This contribution can consist of providing people, expertise, billable hours, or financial support (provided there is a relationship with activities related to a target group). Not just a donation. Social enterprise X periodically organizes an empowerment program for young people called "The Enrichment."
