Use roofs of Carports and right VvE approach for investment decision making
EC Jeroen Kruisheer, observed the vacant rooftops of the Carports of Kantershof. His first initiative was to convince the VvE about the interest of investing in PV to the benefit of the VvE and residents of the community.
In 2021 a study was done with findings and technical solutions. However the complexity of decisionmakinng process and the network implications, were not interesting enough to get enough enthousiasm at the VvE board.
Enriching the knowledge, new opportunities and new economics end of 2023, a working group has been formed by the VvE taking the old proposal serious again. Now the initiative is taken by the VvE and supported by the EC (Jeroen), taking direct ownership of the inititative.
The project is currently ongoing in searching for the right businesscase for the VvE, were all options of usage (Cooperative - EV charging - battery) are taken into consideration, including what the municipality could provide on subsidies.
If succesfull the businesscase can be used as example for other carport areas.
