Creating Awareness in the West African Community, and connecting people to the labor the EGK-Centre was founded with support of the Municipality.
EC Otas Olum, transition employee of !Woon, assessed the great cultural, behavior and language differences in his West African community regarding the Energy Transition. With support of CoForce he initiated information sessions, radio broadcasting sessions for the African community. And actively reach out to them and gained their respect.
The Energy Transition needs labor and a schooled workforce. Otas successfully found 30 interested people to be trained to Energy coach, Fixer and even people to be trained by local entrepreneurs, to step into the skilled workforce needed.
His success story led to the creation of the EGK-Centre with an own location and actively working with the entities in SouthEast for awareness and job facilitation.
