CoForceCoForce Empowered local “Energie Commissioners (EC’s)” supporting local initiatives with process funds to move from idea to plan.
The Energy Commissioners (EC’s) are the experts in their suburb with feeling and roots in their neighborhoods. EC’s are part of the 02025/”koplopers” movement in Amsterdam. In SouthEast the suburb council empowered the EC's with the Stichting CoForce. An entity that helps civil inititatives to execute the Energy Transition quests, especially in the difficult to reach societies.
Awareness creation around the Energy Transition and Social Impact is key in all the projects.The Vision Energy Transition SouthEast that is undersigned by the EC's forms the guidance.
CoForce has a board of 3 members, one EC appointed from residents, one EC appointed by the entrepreneurs and one EC appointed on behalf of the local government.
The EC’s approve the ideas brought up by locals and do the follow-up of initiatives. A simple and fast administrative proces and were the initiators time is rewarded as well. Collective learning is key and dissemination of successes is the objective. SouthEast is a suburb with many cultures and high energy poverty.
The Board of the Stichting secures the organizational aspects while networking with all entities like Groene Hub, Hart voor de K-buurt, EGK-Centre, !Woon that have the execution power for supporting Energy Coaches and Fix brigades.
CoForce in itself is umbrella for entities in the Energy Transition and incubator or "entity" for commoners whenever this is required for subsidies or legal requirements. Furhermore it aims to facilitate the municipality in execution tasks regarding the Energy Transition in the build environment and sustainability, working in the grassroots of the many different communities.
Initiatives vary from seeking collective investements to awareness creation. As example CoForce supported the Taibah Mosque toward an investment plan that led to an Energy Neutral renovation. We also support Young Reporters group quest for making vlogs about energy awareness to their followers to organize local electric cooking session with neigbours discussing awareness and the needs for support. We will discuss the projects separately on this site.
