Employing two analytical frameworks:

  • The "Neighborhood Arrangements framework", will help her to contextualize our case study.
  • The "Participation Analysis" Framework will help her capture the forms and levels of participation of the vulnerable residents in the ongoing processes and decision-making. Through these frameworks, she will elaborate on sub-questions that facilitate the response to the main research question.
Output What will happen?

She expects her findings to provide valuable insights into:

  • The contextual parameters that affect and define the energy transition processes.

  • The relations of power, goals, and values that hinder or promote procedural justice and the inclusion of vulnerable residents in urban planning and policy- making.

  • The levels at which vulnerable residents actively participate in the local energy transition decision and policy-making.

  • New mechanisms adapted to the context of the study, enabling the participation of vulnerable residents.
