Supports the benchmark "Masterplan Amsterdam Zuid Oost":
A bit
Category Activity Participants Place Time
Diversity Learning, Activities, Social Young adults, All residents Test Neighbourhood Long term
Input What will participants do?

The manifesto was prepared in collaboration with residents, municipality and other stakeholders who have an interest in realising the energy transition in Amsterdam Southeast.

Output What will happen?

Onboarding researchers will receive an onboarding presentation and file with the manifesto clearly communicated in it. In short, they will hear about:

- The context of South East
- Participationfatigue and the participation strikes
- What to look out for and how to behave
- Some actionpoints, such as doing volunteerwork and reflecting on 5 questions in the manifest that should determine how they will go about their studies.

Outcome What will change?

Researchers within the ELZO community understand more about the local context and how to think in mutualistic terms, with the aim to build good rapport between the local residents in Zuidoost and those who are doing research about the district (and are not from there). Another important aim is to avoid the participation fatigue by focussing on collaboration: building on what is already present in the research field (exploring our Open Research) and what is present in the social economic fabric of South East.

Impact What will be learned?

We aim to learn more about:

- How to support local development in the fied of research and innovation (speficically the social energy transition)
- How to understand and acknowledge local needs
- How to build public-civil relationships with trust and care
- How to improve collaboration by building on each other's work
